Pictures!!!

This is AFTER a lot of hard work!!!

Molly loves her pool!

She gathered all the logs from the lake by herself

Grandpa Vogl is so proud...she's gonna be good huntin' dog

Playing Stephie's Wii :)

3 months later...

Sorry friends! Life has been so crazy we haven't updated you in a VERY LONG TIME!!!

I didn't end up going to Mexico because of the way finals fell for school.

Randy has done a TON of work on the house...A few remodel things inside but most work outside. He's taken out about 30+ trees that were supposed to be "shrubs" but were very over grown! We planted grass in the front yard and everyone in the neighborhood has commented that it looks SO GOOD and SO DIFFERENT! :) One neighbor asked Randy if he hated trees! LOL

Molly is big...I will add more pics later. She is almost 6 months and gets fixed in two weeks. It's crazy how much personality dogs can have. She makes us smile.

I have less than one year of my Master's program left! Whoo hoo! In the Fall I will be at Salem Hospital working in the NICU as well as with adult patients.

This summer our plans are a few weddings, camping/backpacking, and working on the house.

We are still loving working with the high schoolers at church. I am still the "Creative Ministries Team" leader which entails worship, sound/tech, and the arts. It's been cool to see our team grow! Randy and I are looking at an additional capacity to lead as well this up coming year but it's still in the works so no specifics yet.

I will try and post pictures of our house and puppy soon! Love you all!

Viva México

"¿Cómo lo pasa sus vacaciones de la primera?"

How do you spend your spring break? - This is the theme for the high school group this Spring Break. Some kids are going to Burika Faso, Africa and some to Mexico.

I, Leisha, will be going to Mexico to help build houses for an orphanage there with some great kids. You can specifically be praying for me though:
1) Pray for guidance, wisdom, and creativity as I'm in charge of VBS for the four days we're there
- this is already somewhat an answer to pray as it's been a HUGE passion instilled in me since Sri Lanka's trip 2006.

2) Pray that I either get a passport in time or that it's not needed going over the border.
-I just found the documents needed to apply for one with my "new" last name but now we're getting too close to Spring Break.

3) Pray for peace! Randy's not going as it's the middle of tax season and it's with a fairly new group of people.

Our first week...

It's hard to believe it's only been one week tomorrow (Saturday) that we've had Molly. She has so much personality and quirks it's funny! She has learned not to pee/pooped in the house. She doesn't poop unless we don't let her out but peeing she does a lot and then runs like hell to the door! Hmmm...

She had her first vet appointment Wednesday morning and she's healthy except in the 90th percentile for her weight, 12 lbs at 7 1/2 wks. The vet said she should double in weight but her next appointment next month and not to worry about her weight until she's full grown. For now she can eat as much as she wants when she wants, not fair!

Molly LOVES wrestling with Randy, he's really good at it too. Her and I go on runs in the morning and mid afternoon to wear her down so she is calm and sleeps a lot while we're gone at work. Luckily my schools are close enough I can come home for lunch at the minimum to see her, walk her, etc.

We LOVE HER SO MUCH!!! The only "down" side is she doesn't completely sleep through the night, she's better than most puppies though in that respect, so we wake up 3-4AM to take her out to go potty, fill her food bowl and go back to sleep. We're tired but it's so worth it.

She loves the car rides; she likes to lay in the passenger's seat and relax, she doesn't wine or cry. What a good girl.

So long...

Sorry that is has been almost an entire month since we've posted anything!!! Well, as you guessed we closed on our house. Here are some pictures before we did anything to the yard, updated pictures to come. Our second weekend in our house we completely tore apart the front yard. We removed the fence, all the hedges, Randy washed the sides of the house, and we removed the gate there in the front. All of our neighbors said it was WAY over due! :) We've raked all the leaves and Randy took out the hedges in the backyard there as well. Eventually our plan is to take out the poorly added "car port" area and the concrete to extend the backyard to the end of the property and close it off from the back street there. We have a ways to go but that's the beauty of a first house, it's always a work in progress.

We finally closed and got keys New Year's Eve. It was not a for sure thing to even get the keys before the new year but the Lord was faithful as He always is and we picked up keys at about 11AM and Randy's parents didn't have to work that day and were willing and ready to come down and help us move. The ladies, Vickie Stephanie and Leisha, cleaned the house while the guys moved everything over from the apartment to the house. Vickie and Stephanie did an incredible job on the kitchen! Cleaning out mouse poo and deep cleaning the WORST room in the entire house! It looked like a completely different house just after their intense work in the one room. Leisha's mom was able to come down and help paint a couple rooms and lay contact paper down in all of the cabinets which was another HUGE project, THANK GOD FOR FAMILY! All of our friends and family and been so wonderful with house warming gifts.

Now that we have a house we can start a family, no not with kids, with a PUPPY! We picked out our female yellow lab from the breeders this last weekend and we should be able to pick her up THIS SATURDAY! We haven't firmly decided on a name but we're 95% sure on one. She's 6 almost 7 weeks old and we picked up all of her "stuff" last night. We got a couple toys, a bed, food, treats, collar (which we're hoping is big enough after we got it home), leash, and food bowls! Now we just need carpet spot cleaner and a puppy and we're set!
